[3F10] An exploratory study on safety goals of microreactor

Recent international discussion has suggested the hierarchical structure of safety goals wherein the technology-neutral top-level goals and technology-specific lower-level goals are consolidated in a systematic manner. While this structure had been expandingly applied in some advanced nuclear reactors, little research has been done on microreactor. Focusing on the similarities and differences between conventional large light water reactor and microreactor, this study explores the characteristics to be required in microreactor safety goals and issues for consideration.
