JGC have plenty of experience in executing oil and gas plant projects using the modularization. The reactor building of NuScale SMR nuclear power plant (hereinafter called VOYGR^TM) will be constructed using the Steel-concrete Composite and Reinforced-concrete structure. JGC have been developing the modularization for the reactor building by applying their past experiences. In the modularization, modules are installed at the construction site after assembling steel plates, equipment and piping, etc. as modules at the off-site, and after transferring the modules to the construction site. This paper presents the modularization applied to VOYGR^TM, and the outline of a study on the effect of shortening the construction schedule included the on-site construction procedure as well as the associated technical challenges.
