Part4 : An Efficient Procedure Using the Response Surface Method for Evaluating the Seismic Diversity of SSC system

In the previous study, we focused on the natural period of the device and the response spectrum characteristics of the seismic ground motion, and proposed a risk assessment method for seismic diversity system composed of seismic designed devices and seismic isolated devices. In addition, the effectiveness of seismic diversity system was quantitatively shown by comparing the risk of seismic diversity system with the risk of multiplexing system composed of the same type of devices in a uniform random source (area source) that gave various magnitudes and seismic source distances. In this study, we examined an efficient procedure using the response surface method in order to reduce computational burden in the evaluation of seismic diversity of SSC system.
