When measuring the radioactivity of object in a storage container from the outside, it is difficult to evaluate the effect of self-shielding of the objects. Therefore, a conservative conversion factor is used, which is calculated with assuming that the density in the storage container is uniform and the contamination is localized as a point source. However, the evaluation depends on the uniformity of density distribution, which is not true for new clearance objects. Therefore, in order to investigate the effect of density distribution on the radioactivity measurement, we prepared mock samples and measured under different conditions (tube voltage, threshold, etc.). We also discuss the conditions of the image reconstruction.
