Keywords:irradiation cascade, defects cluster, generation mechanism, statistical analyse

In irradiation material, high-density point defects and their aggregates (defect clusters) are formed by the incidence of high-energy particles. The cluster changes the material's microstructure which affect its mechanical properties. The process of clusters formation through cascading collisions contains multiple processes such as atom collisions, local melting, defects recombination, and thermal activation. Due to the complexity of the cascade process, different generation mechanisms have been discovered for irradiation cluster. However, the influencing factors of each mechanism and the relationship between each factor are still unclear. In this study, we conducted large-scale irradiation simulations of α-Fe, and analyzed the cascade process from a statistical viewpoint. Final studied the causal inference between various factors in cascade process and the cluster generation mechanism.
