[2I09] Proposal on DD Fusion Neutron Driven subcritical Thorium Fission Reactor

A subcritical nuclear reactor is driven by a small fusion neutron source such as muon fusion and controlled close to criticality.This idea has already been announced (1), but experimental verification has not yet been conducted. We set up a small fusion neutron source in Kinki University's experimental nuclear reactor UTR-KINKI, and planned an experiment in which fusion neutrons were injected through the stringer holes in the reactor body to start the reactor and control it to near criticality. An overview will be explained.
