[95] Study on the Current Status of Urbanization Promotion Area less than 40 inhabitants per hectare and the future of the Area Division System
Keywords:Area Division, Urbanization Promotion Area, Population Density, 40 inhabitants/ha
The aim of this study is to understand the current situation and to examine the future of the Area Division System, focusing on cities where the population density in the Urbanization Promotion Area is below 40 inhabitants per hectare.
Spatial characteristics were ascertained through changes in population density within Urbanization Promotion Area in 1975, 1995, and 2015, and the recognition of population density requirements was ascertained through hearings. As a result, the population density was calculated using semi-gross population density, and the population density requirements were met by determining the population density of Urbanization Promotion Area throughout the entire City Planning Area. In addition, there was a large difference between the planned and actual population in the expanded Urbanization Promotion Area, but this difference had not been verified.
