There have been many new antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) developed in the last 10-20 years and they have been active clinical trial and comparison of efficacy and tolerability in clinical settings for better proven scientific evidences.
Epilepsy classification has been changed together with understanding underlying mechanisms and genetic implications according to advances in genetic diagnosis.
In this topic, new classification of epilepsy will be introduced and AEDs trial on the epilepsy classification will be followed as well as the role of new AEDs.
