[P1-134] A 3 Y/O girl post with EB virus infection complicated of Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis and response to IVIG

Shyi-Jou Chen (Department of Pediatrics, Tri-Service General Hospital, NDMC, Taiwan)

A 3 Y/O girl suffered from myalgia, intermittent lethargy and poor appetite for 3 weeks and fever combined with ataxia 2 days ago before admission. She developed irritation and alternative consciousness and sustained fever and Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM) was suspected from brain MRI and serology test showing highly suspect of EB virus infection; initially she received methylprednisolone pulse therapy but weakness and ataxia sustained, thus spinal MRI revealed demyelination lesion. We thus prescribed IVIG for her and she respond well, and the subsequent MRI showed remission of lesion.
