15% of the world's population and 7.6% of Japan's population are disabled. In order for people with disabilities to live together as members of society where physical and social segregation has been eliminated, "Agriculture-Social Welfare Cooperation" is considered as a means of social participation. Social Farming, which is the origin of "Agriculture-Social Welfare Cooperation", is spreading in various forms in European countries. This study aims to compare the subjects, purposes, operational forms and systems, and regional-spatial analysis of social farms in the Netherlands and Japan, which have taken the lead in promoting social farming initiatives among European countries, and to extract elements that will contribute to the promotion of agriculture-social welfare cooperation in Japan from the efforts of advanced cases in the Netherlands. In particular, the regional-spatial analysis of social farms will be analyzed in three aspects: regional distribution of social farms in Japan and the Netherlands, location trends of social farms by region, and analysis of the regional environment of social farms by specific cases.
