Keywords:Naganobori, Copper, Skarn

Mineral assemblage and chemical composition of ore and skarn minerals from the Umegakubo deposit, Naganobori copper mine, Yamaguchi, Japan, were investigated. The major skarn mineral is wollastonite. The major ore minerals are bornite > chalcopyrite. The mineral assemblages and their textures indicate that bornite and chalcopyrite continued to be formed through all stages; Bi-, Te-, Ag-, and Pb-bearing ore minerals such as wittchenite and hessite, galena were crystallized in the middle stage; and Sb-bearing ore mineral, tetrahedrite, was confirmed in the last stage.
