[R1-11] Françoisite-(Nd) from Kotoge Pegmatite, Kawasaki, Tagawa, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan

Françoisite-(Nd) was described by Deliens and Piret-Meunier (1988), named in honor of Dr. Armand François, Belgian geologist and former director of the mining company. Type Locality is Kamoto, Kolwezi mining district, DR Congo. Françoisite-(Nd) was found with kaolin mineral, cheralite, uraninite, autunite, bastnäsite, illite and zircon in albite pegmatite at Kotoge, Tagawa, Fukuoka, Japan. The studied specimens were collected in 1989 by late Masakazu Yano of former chair of Fukuoka Mineral Club, and was reported as phosphuranylite in Minerals from Yamaguchi and Kyushu (2014).
