Keywords:Cretaceous, Northern Kyushu batholith, Cumulate, parental magma, Sanukitic HMA

Mantle-derived mafic magmas such as HMD originated from HMA are considered to be strongly related to granitic magmatism as parental magmas and heat sources for crustal melting. In this study, we focus on the Kita-taku mafic complex, which contains cumulates crystallized from an primitive magma. The petrological characteristics and field occurrence of the complex provide new constraints on the activity of HMA-derived mafic rocks in Northern Kyushu batholith.
