This paper presents a novel method for predicting flexural behavior of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) beams using finite element method and X-ray image. A method to derive the tensile softening curve based on an inversed analysis and X-ray image is proposed. In the finite element (FE) method, the variability of fiber dispersion in individual SFRC beam is considered by determining the different stress-strain relations in each mesh based on the variability of fiber reinforcement identified by X-ray image. The proposed model provides good agreement with the experimental results.
