[Norio Nonomura's Biography]
Dr. Norio Nonomura is the Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology, Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine since 2010. He graduated Osaka University medical school in 1986. He finished his PhD course at the end of 1990. Then, he had been working as a visiting fellow in the NIDDK/NIH Bethesda, Maryland from 1991-1993. Since he came back to Osaka University as the Assistant Professor, he has been engaged in the basic and clinical research on urological oncology. He became the Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology, Osaka University in 2010. He is now working as the vice president of the University Hospital of the Osaka University. He served as the President of the Japanese Urological Association since 2021-2023. He held the 110^th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Urological Association 2023 (April) in Kobe as the Congress President. He serves as the President of the Japan Society of Urological Oncology since 2019. His specialty is urological cancer especially prostate cancer, renal cancer and testicular cancer. He has more than 150 peer-reviewed publications. It was notable that he was commended by the AUA as The Global Leadership Award this year.
