We have collected four sediment samples from the Shimousa group distributed around Magaki, Miho-mura, Ibaraki Prefecture. The depositional environment of the Shimousa Group at the study site was inner to middle bay area from the analysis of the ostracods fossils. In addition, in the process of processing, it was possible to pick out the fossils of ophiuroids ossicles. These fossils of ophiuroids ossicles were found to be part of the fragments that make the arm of the ophiuroids, the vertebraes and the lateral arm plates. These could be identified in the family Amphiuridae. The identification of this fossil ossicles genus and species is further study. Show the fossils of ophiuroids ossicles in the figure.
