[H-TT13] Environmental Remote Sensing

Sat. Jun 5, 2021 5:15 PM - 6:30 PM Ch.11

convener:Wei Yang(Chiba University), Akihiko Kondoh(Center for Environmental Remote Sensing, Chiba University)

Our planet Earth is encountering extensive environmental issues caused either by climate change or human activities. It is our urgent task to find out solutions for these issues based on all kinds of techniques, sciences, as well as transdisciplinary cooperation. Remote sensing is currently the only feasible technique to observe the Earth environment at regional/continental /global scales over long periods, and consequently detects the environmental changes occurred all over the world. Although remote sensing has been extensively applied to a number of environmental studies, there are still many challenges for data analysis and applications. Consequently, this session provides a communication platform on theory, science, technology, and applications of remote sensing to study the Earth environment from local, regional to global scales. Both oral and poster presentations are sincerely welcome.
