Keywords:Block Park, age composition, usage status
Block Park is a park intended to be used by people living in the block, with an area of 0.25 hectares as standard within the attraction distance of 250 m. It is a park mainly intended to be used by people living in the neighborhood, and one place per neighborhood will be arranged as a standard with an area of 2 hectares per place within a range of 500 m.
It is thought that the usage patterns of city parks are changing as lifestyles due to increasing leisure time and changes in value consciousness.
In this study, based on the idea of the attraction distance zone of 250 m, we targeted the block parks that have been arranged almost evenly in the neighborhood, the internal situation of the block park, the actual usage of the block park, and the different times on weekdays and holidays. By clarifying the characteristics and behavior of the users, we would like to find out the future layout plan and maintenance of the block park.
The purpose of this paper is to empirically verify the relationship between the age composition of residents around the block park and the usage status of the park.
