Roles of scientific curatorial system, intended to both samples and relevant data, are important alongside of the Open-Science developments. In order to strengthen sample/data archives at geological disciplines, Kochi University Academic-based core research (KU-ABCR) was established at the Center for Advanced Marine Core Research, Kochi University (CMCR). Main archiving targets at KU-ABCR are core materials aside their curatorial services provided by other facilities/programs (e.g., JAMSTEC or IODP). Basic information (e.g., Locations) of desired samples are expected, and will be open soon after their registrations at KU-ABCR. Together with core curations at Kochi Institute for Core sample Research, JAMSTEC and KU-ABCR (CMCR), Kochi Core center (KCC) can provide scientists (users) excellent accesses to wide varieties of core samples, their relevant basic-data, and analytical opportunities, making it only one unique domestic facility enabling their integration at one place.
