[O07-P37] Calculating the nebula density from the size of the emission nebula

*Yuki Shirai1 (1.Totsuka High School)

Keywords:emission nebula, density of emission nebula, evolution of HII region

This study is a survey of the nebula density of the Emission
Nebula-especially the M42 Orion Nebula, the M43, the M8 Lagoon Nebula, the
M20 Trifid Nebula. I will compare and examine the nebula densities of the
above four objects from the size of the emission nebula by analysis and
calculation.
Visible light images were taken using a 400mm telephoto lens. The radius of
the nebula was calculated by analyzing the visible light images using the
graph function of Subaru image analysis software Makali`i. The density was
calculated from the radius, temperature, and spectral type of the ionized
star.
As one of the results, the density of the Orion Nebula , with the density
obtained by calculation being 411cm-³, compared to the density of
410cm-³(nebula cluster series-emission nebula) obtained by
observing the 21cm radio emission line. As described above, I got the result
which has a very small error.
