[O07-P38] Strength evaluation of structures by making and improving quake-vibration generators
Keywords:Quaking model, Electric controlle, Geotechnical Engineering
We made a simple seismic motion generator using empty cans and motors around us, and made a model of how the structures on the stratum due to the multi-layer structure are affected. In order to bring this vibration closer to the actual one, we are attempted reproduce it while electronically controlling it using Arduino. In order to construct layer, biscuits powder was used to reduce the weight and we conducted an experiment to observe how the structures such as houses would be affected and damaged in addition to the results of the earthquake by constructing the wooden framework on the stratum model.
In addition, we also observed how the shaking of earthquakes caused by heavy objects is involved by conducting experiments on the structures on the stratum with the weight of metal bodies such as iron, copper, and brass. Among them, we are trying to reproduce the shaking caused by the occurrence of a motor-controlled earthquake using Arduino programming.
There are still issues with the motor output and vibration frequency, but we plan to discuss how to make the quaking model closer to reality.
