[G03-P03] Examination of Frame Count for Dynamic Disaster Prevention Signs.
Keywords:Disaster Prevention Signs, Animation
In the project "Development of a Signage Material Database for Evacuation Drills and Disaster Preparedness Education" (JP23K02821), a wide range of pictograms and motion graphics have been produced as teaching materials thus far. This research has led to the prototyping of lenticular prints based on the motion graphics previously created. Lenticular printing uses a transparent resin film processed into a convex shape on its surface, enabling the image to change when viewed from different angles. There are various effects in lenticular printing, such as creating depth in images, making them appear three-dimensional, and enabling animations where images move or change. When creating lenticular prints, it is possible to adjust the number of images used, which correlates to the frame rate in animations or videos, with the quantity of images determining the smoothness of the motion. This study involved creating various lenticular prints with different numbers of images to explore the optimal frame rate for disaster preparedness signage, aiming to determine the most effective use in disaster education materials. This research was supported by the JSPS KAKENHI grant number JP23K02821.
