[1E04] 貴金属担持酸化ニオブを用いたアンモニア選択触媒酸化における担体の酸点の役割

Ammonia is a strong odor that has negative impacts on human health and the environment. Selective catalytic oxidation (SCO) of NH3 is an ideal method for its removal due to its environmental-friendly products of N2 and H2O. However, the developed catalysts either need high reaction temperatures or suffer the second pollution of the byproduct of N2O. Thus, the development of low-temperature effective catalyst that exhibits high N2 selectivity is very necessary. In this work, niobium oxide with a deformed orthorhombic structure was synthesized as the acidic metal oxide support for precious metals (Pt, Pd, and Au) for NH3-SCO. High levels of N2 selectivity (>95% at full conversion) were obtained in this study. The role of acid sites in improving N2 selectivity was investigated. This study will provide a new concept for the design of catalyst for NH3-SCO with high N2 selectivity.
