[1E05] Reductive Amination of HMF over Beta Zeolite-supported Ruthenium bimetallic Catalyst

○Xinyue Li1, Son Dinh Le1, Shun Nishimura1 (1. Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology)

Ru-supported beta zeolite catalyst used for reductive amination of HMF have received FAA (5-aminomethyl-2-furylmethanol) with 60% yield. To decrease the use of noble metal, the Ru-based bimetallic catalysts combined uses of various transition metals such as Fe, Co, Ni and Cu were prepared. It was found out that Ru/Ni bimetallic catalyst received 70% FAA yield as well as monometallic Ru catalyst. After investigating the effect of Ru/Ni ratio, the 2wt%Ru/3wt%Ni supported beta zeolite catalyst maintained the best FAA yield at present situation.
