本研究はテトラヒドロフラン(THF)とアルカンジオールを共重合させ,ウレタン樹脂のソフトセグメントであるポリエーテルポリオールを合成することを目的とする.触媒には生成物との分離が容易で耐久性に優れる固体酸を用いた.*BEAゼオライトはTHFとジオールの転化率が種々の固体酸より高く,これらが共重合した分子量500–600相当のオリゴマーが生成した.ジオールの脱水縮合を伴う共重合はゼオライトの強酸点上で進行すると考えられる.

Herein we report that metal catalysts supported on porous glass promote ethylene polymerization. The polymerization reaction is considered to take place inside the pore predominantly, and affords ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene on the glass surface. Ethylene polymerization by silver catalysts having NHC ligands will be also presented. Rare earth amides in combination with pyridine derivatives enable cis-1,4-selective polymerization of isoprene.
