One of the big challenges in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, and Pharma industries is a analytical technique to interpret outcomes, such as quality, throughput, or consumption throughout complex process data sets. In recent years, Multivariate Analysis becomes a powerful tool to leverage big data existing in processes which have not been addressed due to its complexity. Furthermore, it is expected to be integrated into Advanced Process Control. In this session, we are presenting the applications to Petrochemicals and some use cases.

化学プラントの運転支援のためにモデル予測制御などの高度制御が導入されて久しいが、多くは定常状態の維持が目的であり、生産量変更などの非定常状態を経過する変更操作の最適化および支援は困難であった。本研究では、シミュレータにより非定常状態を再現し、強化学習により変更操作を最適化することで、変更操作のガイダンスを可能にした。また、現実とシミュレーションとのギャップを埋める機能も実装し、現実のプラントで実験評価したところ、変更操作についても効率化が可能であると示した。

We will explain the actual use case of autonomous control of petrochemical plants using advanced deep reinforcement learning, using multiple cases, about the concrete system architecture and effects.
