[1E02] Development of supported iridium catalysts for the synthesis of benzoxazoles via dehydrogenative or hydrogen transfer pathways

Titania-supported iridium catalysts of excellent activities for the synthesis of benzoxazoles via dehydrogenative or hydrogen transfer pathways. have been developed. Namely, the catalysts supported on anatase JRC (Japan Reference Catalyst)-TIO-10 showed the highest activity for the acceptor-less, dehydrogenative reaction. For the hydrogen-borrowing route, the catalysts prepared using protonated layered titanates (HTO) as precursors of the supports showed excellent activities.

Keywords:iridium catalysts, dehydrogenation, hydrogen transfer
