[1F13] Development of hybrid catalysts supported on layered clay mineral applied for one-pot synthesis of polyethylene blend having different properties

Heterogeneous hybrid catalysts consisting of multiple complexes supported on cation-exchanged 2:1-type layered clay minerals were prepared and used for the slurry polymerization of ethylene. By ethylene polymerization using only this catalyst, a polyethylene blend containing both low and high molecular weight polyethylene was produced, which had a wide molecular weight distribution and excellent molding processability. Furthermore, the introduction of branches into the polymer chain was attempted by ethylene/1-hexene copolymerization.
