[P03] Acid property of SiO2-Al2O3 supported tungsten sulfide catalysts
A series of SiO2-Al2O3 supported tungsten sulfide catalysts were prepared and tested for cumene cracking XRD, XPS, Pyridine adsorption IR and NH3-TPD were performed to investigate the relationship between catalyst structure and acid properties. Compared with SiO2-Al2O3, both WO3/SiO2-Al2O3 and WS2/SiO2-Al2O3 catalysts showed higher activity regardless of SiO2/Al2O3 ratio in SiO2-Al2O3 support because of increasing in Brønsted acidity. This result suggests that Brønsted acid sites were generated by the loading of WO3 and WS2 on SiO2-Al2O3 support.
