Methanol reforming is important as a reaction to supply hydrogen to fuel cells. In addition, the application of biomass-derived methanol (biomethanol) has attracted attention to realize a CO2 recycling system. In this study, we investigated the effect of trace impurities in biomethanol on the catalytic activity and stability of the methanol reforming using Cu-based catalysts. In particularly, the inhibitory effects of lower alcohols were analyzed in detail.
