In the direct methane reforming reaction (DMR), hydrogen can be produced without generating carbon dioxide. At the same time, highly conductive nanocarbon can also be obtained. However, in order to put it into practical use, it is necessary to reduce the cost of the catalyst. Therefore, an iron oxide-alumina catalyst was prepared by the coprecipitation method, the deposition method, and the physical mixing method, and DMR was tried. As a result, it was found that the DMR activity and nanocarbon diameter differ depending on the preparation method, and the dispersibility of iron oxide is involved. Also showed activity in simple physical mixing method.
