[1B03] Analysis of specific acid sites on WO₃/Al₂O₃ catalyst for gas-phase dehydrogenation of glycerol

Selective conversion of glycerol, which is a large byproduct in the biodiesel production process, to value-added products is one of the key issues in the effective utilization of biomass. We have found that WO₃/Al₂O₃ catalysts exhibit high acrolein yield and high stability for the gas-phase dehydration of glycerol. In this study, we discussed the specific acidic property of WO₃/Al₂O₃ catalysts based on the catalytic performance in glycerol dehydration and NH₃-TPD.
