[1N3-GS-9-02] The RoG Tool to Support Inter-Heat Self Reflections in Gymkhana
Keywords:gymkhana, Embodied Expertise, First-person's view
Gymkhana is a motor sport in which the drivers compete for the best time from the two runs on a simple course created by setting up road cones on a paved surface. During this limited time between the first run (Heat 1) and the second run (Heat 2), drivers have about an hour to reflect on the data captured during the Heat 1 run and to walk through the actual course, in order to think about the driving plan and vehicle setting changes for the Heat 2 run. We are designing and prototyping the RoG (Reflection on Gymkhana) tool to help Gymkhana drivers' reflection during this short period of time. The RoG tool offers synchronous playback of multiple streams of data, including videos, acceleration and GPS data of the vehicle, as well as annotation captured during the walk-through of the course.
