[4Xin2-26] Classification of involuntary eye movements for eye gaze input interface
Keywords:Eye Tracking, Voluntary Blink, Ambient Feedback
Gaze input interfaces operate computers by capturing voluntary eye movement and gazing as input signals. We are investigating methods to measure eye movement and blinking to develop a gaze input interface that enables various expressions by combining involuntary physiological responses in addition to conventional voluntary operations. This paper proposes a method to discriminate between voluntary and involuntary eye automatically blinks measured in parallel with special voluntary eye movements and to provide different feedback. Experimental evaluation of the proposed method shows that it discriminates voluntary eye movements with an accuracy of approximately 85%.
