[13a-2A-2] Symmetry relationships for polarization of scattered light from spherical samples with randomly oriented particles

Polarization of backscattering from slabs has been extensively studied, whereas scattering from spheres has hardly ever investigated. In this study, we derived an effective scattering matrix of spheres with randomly oriented particles and examined its reciprocity and mirror symmetry. The scattering matrix was simulated using Monte Carlo method by taking contributions of all photons exiting from the sphere. After the azimuth dependence of the matrix was cancelled, the matrix satisfied the reciprocity and mirror symmetry.
