[14a-1F-3] [INVITED TALK] Non-thermal Plasma for control of PM2.5 and Gaseous Pollutants

Electrostatic precipitation has been used for removing fine particles from flue gas. Combination of ESP and mechanical filter is also effective to control PM2.5, and to prevent airborne infection. Selectivity and energy efficiency of plasma chemical reactions promoted by non-thermal plasma can be improved by combination with catalysts. Honeycomb catalysts can be ionized, and this is effective to promote chemical reactions with low pressure drop. The plasma process could be used in various applications including medical care.
