[14a-2D-8] Development of an azimuthally polarized pulsed CO₂ laser by a triple-axicon optical resonator

We have developed an azimuthally polarized pulsed CO₂ laser. The longitudinally excited CO₂ laser oscillator has been developed at Yamanashi Univ. The developed laser oscillated at 10.6 μm with repetition rate of 3 to 10 Hz. Output power was 22 mJ and its pulse shape was a 200 ns peak with a few μs tail. Polarization and transverse mode of the output was measured, and confirmed it was an azimuthally polarized TEM₀₁^* mode.
