Pyrochlore Iridate (Ln2Ir2O7, Ln: lanthanides) shows an anti-ferromagnetic called “all-in-all-out” ordering. This ordering has two distinct type pf magnetic domains which are interrelated with the time-reversal operation. Recently, a characteristic magnetoresponse originating from this ordering or an emergence of a metallic interfacial state at the magnetic domain wall have been theoretically predicted. From the standpoint of further applications, the techniques for domain manipulation are highly needed. In this study, we report on the lattice distortion effect on magnetic domain formation in pyrochlore iridate films. We fabricate the pyrochlore iridates with different lattice constants (Eu2Ir2O7 and Y2Ir2O7) on YSZ (111) single crystalline substrate. Due to this difference, these two compounds receive the epitaxial strains with opposite directions, which affect the magnetic domain formation. We reveal that the different magnetic domain is stabilized by the same cooling field for Eu2Ir2O7 and Y2Ir2O7.
