To realize the optical filter with 2D metal grating structures by the double-layer wire grid structures, the characterization of transmission and reflectance in visible region varying the space between upper and bottom metal layer and the consideration of the propagation of light by RCWA simulation are carried out. By varying the space between upper and bottom metal layer, it is cleared that the peak shifts of the maximum and minimum reflectance are occurred because of the interference between upper and bottom metal layer and the surface plasmon resonance by absorbed light.
