In our laboratory, we have succeeded in the fabrication of epitaxial ferroelectric bismuth layered compound Bi5Ti3FeO15(BTFO15)- spinel ferrite CoFe2O4(CFO) pillar-matrix nanocomposites and a careful analysis using a piezoresponse force microscope(PFM) has revealed that the in-plane polarization axis has a free rotation in the BTFO15 matrix. In order to clarify the origin of such a free-rotational polarization behavior, it is important to understand the interactions between BTFO15 and spinels, very little of which, however, has been so far investigated. Therefore, in this study, we set a goal to look into how different bismuth layered nanostructure will be formed in the nanocomposite with NiFe2O4(NFO), as a different spinel ferrite instead of CFO, in the variation of the growth temperature, and compare the results with those of nanocomposite with CFO.
