[14p-A32-14] Atomic scale surface magnetism of monatomic layer iron nitride studied by STM and synchrotron-based techniques

We performed scanning tunneling microscopy and x-ray magentic circular dichroism measurements for monatomic layer iron nitride grown on Cu(001). The impact of the modulation of electronic strucutres induced by the surface defects on the macro magnetic properties is investigated on the atomic scale.
