Keywords:field emitter array, electron emission property, x-ray irradiation

The electron emission property of the field emitter arrays were investigated under the x-ray irradiation. A high energy x-ray was generated by the bombardment of MeV electrons. The current-voltage characteristics under the x-ray irradiation revealed that those irradiated by a lower dose rate showed little difference from those without irradiation. However, the current-voltage characteristics under the x-ray irradiation with a higher dose rate, the anode current decreased. The present results were considered to be due to the charging of the floating electrodes and insulators.
