We investigate a hologram-temperature dependence of the readout fidelity of digital data pages stored holographically in a photopolymerizable nanoparticle-polymer composite (NPC) film. It is found that while symbol error rate (SER) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for NPCs using step-growth and chain-growth polymerizations are comparable to those at recording temparature of 25º C up to readout temperature of 40º C, NPCs using chain-growth polymerization give better performance in SER and SNR than NPCs using step-growth polymerization at readout temperature higher than 40º C. This result can be explained by lower values for linear coefficients of thermal expansion and thermo-optic constants of NPCs using chain-growth polymerization than those of NPCs using step-growth polymerization.
