太陽電池の絶対エレクトロルミネッセンス(EL)画像計測を行い、セルに電圧プローブを当てることなく、絶対EL画像から直接に内部電圧を評価できる方法を開発した。さらに、太陽電池の外部量子効率（EQE）データと基礎物理関係式にもとづく定式化・解析を用いることで、内部電圧（開放電圧およびI-V関係）、内部材料品質、ルミネッセンスカプリング、セル内の損失の内訳分析など、豊富な診断が可能になる。
