[19p-S224-5] Direct Surface Patterning on A Protein by Thermal Imprinting

Harutaka Mekaru1 (1.AIST)

Keywords:nanoimprint,protein,unfolding transition temperature

Because high-dimensional structures of proteins are collapsed and then proteins are denatured when heated up to 40 degree C or more, a direct patterning of the protein surface has not been reported. The author investigated an applicability of thermal nanoimprinting at a low temperature to patterning on a protein. Traces of imprinting when an imprint temperature was 75 degree C or less were hardly observed. However, when the imprint temperature is 100 degree C, a grid mesh pattern was clearly observed. However, the protein structure under the grid mesh pattern was discolored white at 125 degree C or more.
