精密研磨技術は，様々な製品生産現場においても重要な製造技術の一つとして位置付けられている．しかし，精密研磨技術には摩擦などの機械的作用を利用したものも多く，製品表層にマイクロスケールの潜傷(せんしょう)を形成させてしまうことがある．著者らは，新たに非接触による応力誘起方法を開発した．本報告では，新たに開発した手法による潜傷検査を行い，その有用性について議論する．
