We report the synthesis, characterization, and solar cell application of new phenanthrodithiophene-isoindigo copolymers with solubilizing side chains in the different substitution positions. Furthermore, the substitution position effect of solubilizing side chains on their thin-film structures and solar cell performances are also discussed.
