[6a-C22-10] Thermal conductivity of a layered boride compound PrRh4.8B2

We have investigated thermal conductivity of a layered boride compound PrRh4.8B2 single crystal. The out-of-plane thermal conductivity of the PrRh4.8B2 was characterized by using time-domain thermoreflectance (TD-TR) method. Analysis of TD-TR signal by mirror image method reveals that thermal conductivity of PrRh4.8B2 is much lower than that of other borides. This indicates randomly located Rh vacancies depress phonon conduction effectively.
