We have been examined a method of measuring the phase change of transmitted light due to the change in glucose concentration by optical heterodyne method, aiming for noninvasive blood glucose monitoring. In this study, we removed an additional optical path included in the conventional system and measured the phase change of probe light when the glucose concentration was varied. As a result, because the tendency of the phase change was equivalent to the previous results, this simple system was confirmed to be available to use in monitoring a glucose concentration.
