Transition metal oxides such as NiOOH and WO 3 exhibit electrochromic (EC) characteristics that change color by electrochemical redox reaction, application to smart windows is expected.We are aiming at developing complementary EC elements combining NiOOH and WO3, but dissolution of samples is concerned with liquid electrolytes.Therefore, in this study, EC characteristics of NiOOH and WO 3 thin films were evaluated using Nafion dispersion which is a proton conductive polymer electrolyte.
